Crust Fund

Crust Fund is a sound experiment that began in 2022, by Zoey Linares, revolving around personal trauma and pain, treated almost like a diary.  Using guitar pedals to everyday objects to homemade instruments, Crust Fund creates a sonic fury that emulates the raw emotions put forth as Zoey rips their heart open for a judging digital audience again and again.  Inspired by bands like Xiu Xiu, Crust Fund often changes genres from album to album challenging Zoey musically and leaving the listener not only baffled but craving more.

Zoey Linares is a solo multi-instrumentalist/sound artist from The Rio Grande Valley with 20 years of musical experience.  Crust Fund is manned by Zoey mixing the droning ambience of tape loops with the raw power and aggression of power electronics to bring a unique sonic experience.  Zoey is known for her synth punk moniker I Killed Techno! which has been running since 2007.  A platform used for speaking up about politics both within the government and the local music scene as well as speaking about the blurred line between horror films and reality.  Reminding the listener that sometimes fact is more frightening than fiction.  Zoey has been involved in a multitude of music projects/bands including: E. Coli, iwrotethisforyou, Eric Amoeba, Samantha Mulder, BewareOblivionIsAtHand and a plethora of other bands spanning across genres.
